Bamboo N-durance^®

MOSO^® Bamboo N-durance^® Decking is a solid, Outdoor-Density^® board made from compressed bamboo strips. Bamboo N-durance^® has a warm brown color due to a steam-pressure treatment of the bamboo material. Special crushing and compression techniques increase the hardness and stability and provide MOSO^® Bamboo N-durance^® with the highest durability class possible in the appropriate norms.

With Bamboo N-durance^®, MOSO^® transforms the rapidly renewable resource bamboo into beautiful, natural outdoor products with a warm caramel color. Bamboo N-durance^® is made from the fast-growing Moso bamboo, which shoots new stems every year. Harvesting around 20% of the bamboo poles yearly does not result in deforestation as the Moso bamboo root system, with its rhizomes, allows it to continue growing.

A unique Outdoor Density^® process, combining special crushing, steam pressure treatment and compression, provides Bamboo N-durance^® with the highest durability class possible, according to the appropriate norms*. Furthermore, the process significantly increases the density of the material – making the bamboo boards very hard and strong. As a last step, Bamboo N-durance^® Decking boards are treated and finished with decking oil or a lasur that prevents fast weathering and limits surface fungi development.

MOSO^® Bamboo N-durance^® comes pre-grooved on the length sides of the boards. Installation with MOSO^®’s asymmetrical fasteners speeds up installation. Plus there is no need for costly pre-drilling and face screwing. MOSO^® Bamboo N-durance^® boards feature a “rain-shed” surface. This is simply a slightly convex board top that drains water off the surface, keeping the boards dryer and cleaner, reducing maintenance frequency.
